Beginning in 2025, our manager is now Carol Christensen from Waubun. She will work Wed, Thurs, Fri, summers and some hours in the off season.

Mahnomen County Historical Society was first formed in the 1930s, however it did not last long. In 1984 a group registered the Society as a 501(c)3 and began registering the small collection in the courthouse basement. From there, in 2007, we obtained the mainstreet building site and continue to preserve and register .
